Eleanor Place.
Eleanor Place is on Map 2b, but is not shown on the map. Eleanor Place is a named terrace that forms part of High Street, Twerton, and is situated at the very west end of the street, between How Hill and that part of the High Street now known as Connection Road.
According to the 1940 street directory, there were 5 addresses in Eleanor Place, but the City Engineer has listed only four Eleanor Place dwellings, plus Eleanor House in High Street Twerton. Eleanor House was almost certainly the fifth dwelling in Eleanor Place, and I have listed it here rather than in High Street.
Eleanor Place no longer exists. The modern buildings known as Eleanor Cottages now occupy that site.
