Dorchester Street.
Dorchester Street is on Map 2d. Dorchester Street is named on the map, running from Southgate Street (by Old Bridge) to Manvers Street.
The building numbering used by the City Engineer does not accord with the addresses in the street directory. In the street directory, the numbered buildings run from 1a to 6, where number 6 is a hotel. In the City Engineer's report, the numbered buildings run from 1a to 9, where number 6 is a shop, and he lists two hotels, one of which has a Manvers Street address according to the street directory. In the street directory, there was a branch of Jonette with a Manvers Street address next door to the hotel that the City Engineer had wrongly listed as Dorchester Street, and this appears to be what the City Engineer has wrongly listed as "Jeanette" in Dorchester Street. There was a second branch of Jonette in Dorchester Street, but in a building that the City Engineer doesn't mention by name. These shop units appear to be those allocated the (non-existent) numbers 7 to 9 in the City Engineer's report. The City Engineer's report is clearly not correct, and I have tried to interpret the addresses in the street directory according to the damage reported by the City Engineer.
