Clyde Buildings.

Clyde Buildings is on Map 2b. Clyde Buildings is not shown on the map. Clyde Buildings is only listed in the street directory as "West Twerton" with no further location information, but other early 20^th Century maps show Clyde Buildings on the north side of the High Street, at the extreme western end, just before the railway arch. I also found a pre-war photograph (picture right).

Clyde Buildings no longer exists.  The triangular plot of land between the railway, the end of the High Street (now renamed Connection Road) and the footpath leading to a pedestrian tunnel under the railway (now named Little Hill) on which Clyde Buildings stood, now holds only an electricity sub-station and derelict land.  The remains of front doorsteps and entrance paths can be seen under the weeds in places.
