Chaucer Road is on Map 3c. Chaucer Road is named on the map. Chaucer Road runs from Beechen Cliff Road (alongside "The Tors") to Devonshire Buildings. As well as its own addresses, Chaucer Road also contains separately named terraces: see Chaucer Villas; Devonshire Place.
The street's numbering system is unusual, in that the gap in the numbers between 12 and 21 does not reflect the layout of the buildings. Number 12 is on one corner of Kipling Avenue, and Number 21 is on the opposite corner. Kipling Avenue is not wide enough to have replaced 8 houses, so the number gap is not easy to explain.
